Both official IRS methods, safe harbor and annualized income, computed the way the publication defines them. No rule-of-thumb percentages anywhere.
Tax figures audited against the source
Brackets, thresholds, and wage bases are checked against IRS revenue procedures and Social Security Administration tables, then pinned by an automated test suite so they cannot drift.
SSNs are never stored
A Social Security number is asked for only at the moment a payment voucher is generated, used once, and never saved or logged anywhere.
